One Section
- One thing I learned this week is that Eclipse is the preferred environment for ABAP development. This surprised me as I thought Eclipse was only for Java, but I learned that it has a lot more support for other languages.
- I’m curious what exactly “Software Engineering” as a course would be, and how it’s different from a course like Introduction to Computer Science (CSCI 1250/60).
This Week’s Accomplishments
- This week didn’t really have anything due, but I was able to sign in to the SAP learning platform and register for that, which was the only thing I really needed to work on.
- I exceeded expectations by completing the flowchart assignment for Enterprise Programming in-class, rather than outside of class.
Obstacles / Challenges
- There weren’t any obstacles that prevented me from accomplishing anything in this course, but in my internship, I have to wait for access to platforms and applications so I can complete my work.
Mitigation / Workaround
- For the obstacles, I can’t really do anything other than doing other things with my time. For instance, I’m working on my compliance training rather than just sitting around. Also, I’m trying to be proactive with making sure that I have access, such as contacting the team for the code signing certificate rather than just waiting.
Next Week’s Plan
- Next week, I need to start working on my Earth thru Time course, so I can start getting that work done and figure out when things are due. I also need to start working on the various assignments in Ben’s classes, and I want to start working on the ABAP course as well.
